Seeemingly the buyers were uninterested about the car until the reviews came in. It's an award winning vehicle and fulfills its mission of providing an incredibly comfortable, easygoing ride. The Sonoma is a comfortable car to drive. The gas mileage of the Sonoma was an important consideration in the 2WD Small Pickup Trucks for 1999.
Redesigned Interior
As 2WD Small Pickup Trucks go, the Sonoma is well appointed with features and amenities. Some options usually not found in this market include better performance, improved sound system and a smoother ride system. GMC has spent substantial time on just the seats in the Sonoma's luxury interior. (For more information on interior options see the Universal VIN Decoder).
Fun or Flop on the Road?
Seating, while comfortable, tends to be a bit low making it difficult to see over the dash. Our experience with the Sonoma has proven to be more than satisfactory. Thankfully, with a refined suspension that offers plenty of wheel travel, the Sonoma's ride is smooth.
