Gas mileage was an important consideration in the 4-door Large Passenger Car for 1999. This famous nameplate comes in a wide range of configurations, from the green-themed Hybrid with natural-gas-fueled models to the top of the line examples. It is, and still is, the "safe" choice in the 4-door Large Passenger Car class. It's a spectacular vehicle and fulfills its mission of providing an incredibly comfortable, easygoing ride. It rides on an extra platform, has new engines and an indoor that's very much more modern than the previous version.

In addition: 4-door Large Passenger Cars are generally heavier and seat four (or five) full-size people. Not even the press could have forcasted what kind of sales acceptance it would receive. In 1999, Oldsmobile raised the bet by offering the most powerful and most luxurious 88 ever. The wide selection of styles only enhances the vehicle's celebrated strengths of reduced noise, larger interior packaging, upgraded stereo, and more safety features.
