Chevrolet's Express Cargo Van for 2002 builds heavily on the brand's strengths. Chevrolet's last try at this didn't go over too well with this audience, however, as its underacheiving 8 Cylinder Engine and old-fashioned styling never found its target market. It rides on an additional platform, has new engines and an internal that's very much more modern than the previous version.

Chevrolet Express Cargo Van Powertain and Performance

The greatest part about this car is the powerplant and transmission, it is unlikely you would hear the engine and feel the transmission shift. This model gives a very bumpy ride, as if the tires were grossly over- inflated. Far removed from the original Express Cargo Van, this one is the prime yet. It's furthermore more luxurious. Fuel efficiency (on Gasoline Fuel) is No/No City/Highway. We pegged our Dyno at 255 hp on the Express Cargo Van during our initial tests.

Updated Interior

The dashboard features a sporty three-pod instrument layout and an uncluttered fundamental stack. Some may find the asymmetrical dash layout odd, but the well-dampened manipulates and revise ergonomic placement should forgive any faults. The upgraded radio was a welcome feature to some new buyers, but an expensive option to others. Time will tell whether it gains widespread acceptence.

Driving Impressions for the Express Cargo Van

The 2002 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van meets the minimum requirements of most Cargo Vans prospective buyers: It provides suitable power and a comfortable ride. Greatfully, with a refined suspension that offers plenty of wheel travel, the Express Cargo Van's ride is smooth. The car overall is very reliable.

Some buyers find the Express Cargo Van's MSRP of $25916 (before options) to be the best in the Cargo Vans category. Dealers pay $22676.5 plus $715 for the vehicle from Chevrolet.
