I have a confession: I bought a 2002 Ford because of the quieter ride, and larger interior packaging. The Ford Excursion has long boasted one of the best 8 Cylinder Engine in the industry, and the 2002 models certainly continue that tradition. Even though it's the most easygoing of the 2WD Sport Utility Vehicles to drive on an everyday basis, the 2002 Ford Excursion loses some points for its pedestrian acceleration and squandered safety features. 8 seats made it a player in the 2WD Sport Utility Vehicles segment. The Ford follows up on a full style freshening that took place last year. The better winter handling of the Excursion was key in the 2WD Sport Utility Vehicles models for 2002.
lower cost for 2002 was an important feature offered on the Excursion. It's an excellent vehicle and fulfills its mission of providing an incredibly comfortable, easygoing ride. Moreover, it should come as no surprise that we've named it the winner of our 2002 engineers's Most Wanted Award for best vehicle under $40140.
Technical Specifications
Far removed from the original Excursion, this one is the principal yet. It's as well more luxurious. A four-speed automatic is optional. For safety, the Excursion has longer-lasting tires as optional equipment. No MPG City is a grand accomplishment, though the Highway mileage of No is not as big of news. 2002 Excursion uses Gasoline Fuel in its 8 Cylinder Engine.
Fun or Flop on the Road?
The brakes are strong and easy to modulate. Ford has still not improved the engine clatter, making driving long distances a bit of a chore. Ford says the frame has been revised to give a smoother ride without adversely affecting handling.
